Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I received a phone call from a blocked number asking me to schedule a time to be served because I have a legal summons. He left a 800 number, he will try 3 times and then file with the court unable to serve?? Not sure if this is legit or a credit card company because I do owe some money to creditors.

Thank you in advance and any advice will be much appreciated, I am unemployed and cannot hire a lawyer at this time.

That's completely ridiculous. There is no such thing as "filing with the court unable to serve." Don't answer robocalls, and don't call 800-numbers. If they really wanted to sue you they would send a process server to your home, and you wouldn't get a call in advance.

Mr. Stone is right, even if it's a legitimate creditor, they are trying to con you into calling.
