I have received a renewal of judgment application, from an old creditor. account went in default june 1999, the judgment was entered on 3/27/2001 against me. is it still in time limitations to affect my credit or possible garnish of wages? yes it was a credit card. california

The judgment was originally good for 10 years and can be renewed so it will keep growing until you pay it, discharge it in bankruptcy, settle the debt or they get your property or wages. It goes up 10% per year.

Mr. Carballo's answer is correct, but to answer your specific question more clearly and directly, yes, it is still within the time limitations to affect your credit and enforce the judgment, IF they submitted the renewal of judgment application any time before the court clerk's office closed last Friday, because that was the last day before the ten year anniversary of the judgment. Assuming they did renew the judgment in time, they have another ten years of it on your credit and another ten years to garnish wages or use any other enforcement of judgment tool available under the law. Mr. Carballo is also correct that they are entitled to 10% simple interest on the judgment for as long as you fail to pay it.
