Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I received a request for entry of default in my name from a credit card company and I looked at the court documents online and it doesn't show entered yet, do I have enough time to file Ch. 7 before my bank account gets levied? (I'm in California)

Due to budget cuts, some California courts are taking months to process default judgments. However, the backlog is San Diego doesn't mean that there is a backlog where you live. You should see a bankruptcy attorney as soon as possible. Without calling the court clerk, there is no way to tell how long it might be before a creditor could have a judgment and a writ of execution to levy your assets.
