Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
received summons on unpaid credit card bill. Amount is $1,700. Just want this to go away as quickly and as cheapest as possible.

The quickest and cheapest way to make it go away is to pay the debt as quickly as possible before they add more fees, expenses and interest. Unless you are prepared to file for bankruptcy over $1,700, EVERY other option will be considerably slower, more difficult and more expensive.
