hi. i recently had my bank account frozen due to a court intervention from a collection agency. i need some legal advice on how to proceed to dispute this.

Either you were sued and were never served with the lawsuit, or you did receive the lawsuit papers and didn't respond. Either way, there is a judgment against you and you will get only one shot at getting the judgment set aside. See an attorney.

Mr. Stone is right. If the matter has gotten to the point of having accounts seized, you need an attorney immediately, not an internet answer.

Option 1 - file a bankruptcy, which will put a stop to the bank garnishment.

Option 2 - contact plaintiff's attorney, attempt to negotiate a settlement.
