Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

i was recently at a store with my sister and cuzin who got caught stealing however i was the only one who did not steal as we walked out the door a man who worked at the store stopped us and said we had items we didnt pay 4 and took us to a back room wear he told us he has us all stealing when i told him i didnt take anything he said i did the other two girls both agreed she didnt take a thing the man proceeded to tell me that he needed my id to see who i was so i called my fiance and had him walk and give the id to me the man then handed me two random items and told me to sign for them saying that a size 16 women is going to steal a pair of sweat pants 5 sizes to small i then asked him what happends if i dont sign he told me that if i didnt it would take the police 2 hours to come to the call seeing that i had my fiance waiting i agreed and signed the paper however i was sent a bill stating they had me on camera stealing these items when i never even touched any items nor am i on camera with the items or anywhere near them the charge for the items is 19.95 and there asking me to pay 400 in 25 days topay or they will take court action to collect their money im not sure how to fight it if i got to the store or call there law office that the letter was sent by or hire my own lawyer the other women who got there bills as well said that theres came up to 400 as well yet there items came out to over 100 dollars and the others the same as my amount and there asking her 4 375 and not taking into condieration that im not the one who stole the items it was her and the other girl im not sure what to do any advice would be so much appreciated
