recover money from gardner who failed to provide contracted services
I recently paid a gardner to maintain my lawn. Money was given to him upfront and he was expected to return the next day to perform services. He partially started the job, but did not return to complete the job. Now they are refusing to return my money. I have a signed contract and copy of the check made payable to his wife. The check was cashed, so the account can not be traced. I only have the wife's name and phone number as their contact details. What can i do to recover the money without an address? Thanks.

You will need to sue him.
