Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

reposession pay back

I had a vehicle repossesed back in December, I heard nothing about the car until July 2001. I sent a certified letter to the creditor stating that I could pay $50.00 per month, and if I had more would send more, the letter was signed for and the check was cashed, I sent another payment in august for the $50 and it was also cashed. The credit rep called to inform me that they could only make credit arrangements for $100. Do I have a foot to stand on with the $50 a month. The creditor is in California and the loan was taken out in Michigan, and I am a current resident in Michigan

Re: reposession pay back

No you dont but realistically they are unlikely to do anything as long as payments are coming in. just tell them you will continue to pay the $50 and if they try to do anything about it you will stop paying
