People often use the form Contract-Answer to file an answer to a complaint. It can be found on the Judicial Council website. However, you are best to get legal advice from a professional rather than act as your own attorney, as you might overlook affirmative defenses or not do something such as attack the pleading by way of a demurrer or motion to strike, and thereby jeopardize your defense.

The Summons form is used for any and every non-criminal legal proceeding. Without knowing what the complaint that was served with the summons is about, there is no way to even begin to discuss how to respond. And if you didn't already know what I just said, you are going to get run over like a toad on the freeway if you try to represent yourself. Call a local lawyer.
