I'm I responsible for a car resgister under my name?
Someone in the family had used my name to purchased a car without my permissiom. I found out later but didn't do anything about it, because I didn't know I could be responsible, One night my sister, not licensed,took the car without permission and got into an accident, now the ohter insurance is trying to collect money from me, because the car is register under my name. Where do I stand and what should I do to get my self out of this mess?

It's too late to "get out of this mess." You should have done something immediately when you learned of the identity theft. Since you did nothing, you in essence approved the transaction.
My suggestion is that you hire an attorney.
