Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

ripped off.

my mom recent sold her car. First of all she did a lot of things she shouldn't have done... She gave the person she sold the car to the title to the car and pink slip (unsigned). this person proceed to give my mom a check... which bounced? This person seems to have no intentions of paying my mother any time soon or perhaps, AT ALL. Can we sue her? anything?

You can sue for the amount of the check and punitive damages for fraud.

You should sue the buyer. If it is for under $7,500 go to small claims court. Email me at [email protected] for my free ebook on small claims court.

If it is over $7,500 you should talk to an attorney about suing the buyer.
