Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

This is my second go round and I wish to thank Legal Guru and Mr.C.from S.F.I am an eighty year old senior, single, a renter and living on a limited social security program with no assets. As of 7/1/09

I no longer use the assistance of credit cards.Due to unfortunate happenings, auto repairs, etc I advised and notified each card company that I was unable to meet my payment obligations of the

past and offered each a payment as was the advise from one of the attorneys at Law Guru. For your information I have photo stated all correspondence both theirs and mine as well as copies of certified mail directed to the personal attention of their credit manager which has been verified that the mail was received. Here it is five months later and Chase in general continues to write me from four different P.O. boxes,Three different states almost to indicate the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing or trhis is a routine way of handling this type of correpondence. In all of my mail from 7/1/09 that I had a hearing loss and was unable to converse by phone.Yet, all of their mail cnontinues to have me call them.Other than Sincerely I once in a while get a name which I contact and refer them to their credit manager and send them all of the correspondence which they request.Five months later they are offering financial counceling and various options of payment. They admit they have received my mail and yet they appear to avoid my offer.Should I continue to play this game of theirs? I am running out of money as well as stamps. From my research in the past I found that they were approaching this issue of mine the same as I have done only without money involved on my part as they would charge the card companies attorney and court fees. When I approached them as to what my procedure was they dropped me with no reply.Any advise would be greatly appreciated as I am unable to afford an attorney. No rush, just at a stale mate.

Thanking You In Advance,

P.S.The other two companies appear to be at least reviewing my correspondence. H. D.James
