Satisfaction of Judgment question
Are there specific Satisfaction of Judgment forms for each state? Who is required to file the form, debtor or creditor, or does that depend on the state? When a judgment has been satisfied is this the only form that has to be filed?

In a California case, the judgment creditor must sign and file the satisfaction of judgment form with the court, the form can be found at www.courtinfo.ca.gov/forms . If an abstract of judgment was recorded with the county recorder of any county, a certified copy of the satisfaction of judgment form bearing the court's file stamp must also be recorded with the recorder of each county for which an abstract was filed.
