Seperated Spouse's Debt

Seperated (not legally) 14 years from spouse. Spouse medical bills go to collection then to MY credit report. This is ruining my credit rating how do I get it across to the agencies I'm not responsible for my spouse's debt's?

Re: Seperated Spouse's Debt

Unless you were legally separated as a member of the community you will be held responsible. Having said that, you may have remedies under the FDCPA and FCRA and possibly by arguing that separation was permanent. Please contact my office with more details for a more comprehensive response.
