Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I have been served with a wage garnishment for my ex husband and I have my divorce decree that states I am not responsible for this debt and plus we were legally seperated prior to his commitment this with this bill. I have filed a exemption and have a court date what should I bring with me to court.

Bring the court papers that show the date of separation and the dissolution. Make them produce documents that show that you signed the application or was the one that used the debt.

If they can not produce your signed application, you are not responsible for the ex's debt if separation was prior to his debt.
