Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Served at Wrong Address

My wages are being garnished right now. After being notified that I was going to be sued and I didn't know anything about it; I went to the Torrance Court House and reviewed the court documents. The Proof of Service had the wrong Apt. number on it and I never received it. Is there anything that I can do now to stop this. Help, Tony

Depending on when the judgment was entered, it's possible to get the default and default judgment set aside. The only issues after that is whether you owed the full debt, whether it should be something less or not at all, and whether the statute of limitation has run on the debt. Please feel free to contact me directly.

Yes a motion to quash service must be made immediately. It will give you an opportunity to defend or settle the underlying action. Call me directly or e-mail me.
