Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

shady attorney

i was involved in a civil matter for a bill that i had no knowledge of. the attorney for the plaintiff is attempting to obtain fees through the courts that he is not entitled to according to the judgement. what motion do i need to file to take this matter back to court to be corrected?

From the sound of it, you may already have a default judgment entered against you. If there is good reason you could not answer the complaint within 30 days of being served, you will have to file a motion to vacate the default judgment. If this is truly not your debt, do not let this go unanswered.
