Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Sister State Judgment

I have a sister state judgment that originated in Colorado and has been filed in California, where the debtor is. Does the judgment collect interest all at the Colorado 8% rate, all at the California 10% rate, or a conbination of the two? I also need to file an assignment of this judgment - where?

Re: Sister State Judgment

The Colorado rate would apply. Why do you have an assignment? Is it for collection purposes? If so the assignee should know to file it in the county the debtor resides so that he may be summoned to an examination. If you wish collection assistance, please contact me directly at (619) 222-3504.
