Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
I have a small claims judgement and have recieved an order to produce statement of assets. Question: can i request an extension and what happens if i just don'e show up in court?

If you were personally served with an Order for Appearance at a Judgment Debtor's Examination and you fail to appear, a warrant could be issued for your arrest, and you could be arrested and brought to court to answer the judgment creditor's questions.

Actually, in most counties a warrant WILL be issued for your arrest. We don't have debtors prisons in America, but we do jail people for contempt of a court order all the time.
