Just make sure you can present your case to the judge in a succinct manner without calling names or getting too emotional about it. Take along every relevant document, piece of evidence if practical, and all your witnesses if any. Then just state your position to the case, and offer your supporting evidence/witnesses to him/her.
Re: Smallclaims
In addition to what Mr. Grant suggests, don't make faces or roll your eyes, and stay calm. Small claims court is meant to exclude lawyers so that the judge can hear the story directly from the participants. If you have photographs, bring them with you. If you have documents relevant to your case, also bring them and explain why they're relevant.
