Re: smalll claims settlement

You might want to retain an attorney who specializes in collection matters. They could take a debtor's exam, and have the court issue a warrant if the debtor doesn't show. Once the exam is conducted, the attorney would learn of the judgment debtor's bank accounts and employment information and levy against the accounts and wages.

The key to colllecting any judgment is being able to get good information about the debtor's assets. Some information like the debtor's place of employment are easy enough to find out at a debtor's examination.

An experienced collection will have a variety of tools available to find out information about the debtor that could lead to collection of the debt. These tools can include database searches and private investigators.
