Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Statute of Limitation for Collecting a Business Debt in California

I'm working as a contractor an have a client that has an outstanding balance that has never been cleared. Knowing the company finances I expect it will be cleared, but just want to make sure I'm not losing any rights to collection. So, my question is what is the statute of limitations for collecting a debt. Both myself, the place of business and corporate headdquartes are in California. The office where accounting resides is in New Jersey.

If we can prove California as the proeprty place that the services were rendered and where the contract was entered into, the statuete of limitations on a written contract is 4 years. I assume since you are a licensed contractor that you have a written contract other than an oral.

Please call me if you have any questions.
