statute of limitation for promissory note issued by a company

How long is the statute of limitation for promissory note issued by a corporation? Some people say 4 years but some say 6 years.

I take it that the people that say 6 years are not attorneys.

I will give you the general rule in California that the statute of limitations for breach of a written contract is four years from the date of the breach.
