Statute of limitations on collection?

Is there a statute of limitations on debt collection? Including the collectors that purchase ''old'' debt that is nearly 18 years old?

Re: Statute of limitations on collection?

Normally without a law suit the statute of limitation is either 4 or 2 years. If a judgment has been entered, it is valid for 10 years and could be extended. You may have a claim under the Fair Debt Collection Act. Please call our office.
