statute of limitations

when a judgement is recieved against an individual is there a statute of limitations on how long this debt remains in affect and can a credit company sue for a judement plus accrued interest that has been around since 1995?

A judgment is good for 10 years and can be renewed for 10 additional years. You cannot sue for a judgment since a judgment is already based upon a lawsuit. If you have been contacted by a collection agency, we may be able to help you. Please contact our office at 714 363 0220.
