Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
What is the Statute of Limitations on a medical bill in California?
Hello,
I was wondering if there is a Statute of Limitations on a Medical Bill in California. I recieved a bill from something over six years ago that I never agreed with. Any information would be great.

It depends whether it's in writing or oral. Nevertheless, the four-year statute on written agreements has run and therefore is uncollectable.

The Statute of Limitations is normally either 2 or 4 years depending if the contract is oral or written. Did you get correspondence from a collection agency? Please contact us if you need any assistancd. The Collection Agency may have violated the fair debt collection act.
