Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

stipulation of entry of judgment

i have come up with the settlement with a law frirm dealing w a collection agency but I refused to sign the stipulation since it contains some data like it stated on the letter that defendant expressly waives right for any hearing or trial once I defaulted. I need someone to help me review the letter before I sign it and if there's a way I can tell them to delete that part.

You would want to change the offending language to require ex parte notice as provided by the California Rules of Court.
