Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

i stopped paying on my credit card in sept 2004 and when i got my last credit report the credit card company had filed a judgment against me in april 2008 what can i do about this should i make payment arrangments

If you never received the lawsuit, contact an attorney about having the judgment vacated. You have only a short time to do this once you learn of the judgment. So-called "sewer service" and "distant forum abuse" are illegal debt collection practices which could entitle you to sue the creditor or collection agency. Do NOT call or contact them until AFTER you have consulted a lawyer yourself (NOT their lawyer).
