Student loan wage garnishment

My sister and I are trustees for my parents family trust. My sister just found out that the Fed. govt. is trying to garnish her wages for a student loan she took out over 10 years ago. Can they try to take funds out of our Family Trust to satisfy her loan?

Usually not, but it depends on how the trust was set up. You need to consult with an estate planning attorney.
