Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Student loans wage garnishment

I filled bankruptcy 2 years ago and everything went well with it. Unfortunately my students loans were not covered in the bankcruptcy. We are getting close to the wage garnishment stage and I wanted to know what my options are. Can I negotiate with the lender to reduce the amount I owe? Is there a way of having the loans be ''excused?''

Yes you can negotiate with them or have a representative do it for you. There are two chances of an excusal; slim and none.

Thank you for your question.
