Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

When to sue for a bounced check

Is there a time limit to sue for a bounced check? I sold some merchandise to a customer and never did anything about it when the check bounced. It has been almost 3 years since the check bounced.

Yes. It is generally 4 years, but it depends on the specific facts of your case. Make sure you comply with the statute if you want to receive treble damages.
