Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I am being sued by Discover. I had hired Freedom Debt Relief and they negotiated with Discover and came to an agreement. They paid Discover the amount of settlement. Now two years later they are suing me for the previous balance. How do I handle this situation?

I don't have money to hire a lawyer.

There should have been a settlement agreement. You need copies of that. You really need an attorney so you don't default on the case or get the judgment against you.
