Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
when suing a creditor for wrongfully puting information on your credit report. what would be the law that they are breaking? Also what is the mininum that you can sue for in small claims court? For example the defamation of character is 1500 dollars? If I just want it remove from my credit report can I sue for a penny or a dollar. Please let me know..

You can't get information removed from your credit report in Small Claims Court. That kind of mandatory injunction is outside the jurisdiction of Small Claims.
