What do you do with summons papers left on your vehicle that don't pertain to you?

Leaving a summons and complaint on a vehicle to me does not appear to be appropriate service. When you say "don't pertain to you," does it mean that you're not a defendant in the case? Feel free to provide me by direct e-mail with a further explanation.

Call the attorney or the plaintiff and advise that they served the wrong people.

I wouldnt' call. I'd mail it to the attorney listed in the papers with a letter explaining what happened. He or she needs to fire their process server.
