can u get in trouble for leaqving unpaid rental furniture at your old residence?

If you had rented the furniture from a third party, it is your obligation to make sure it's returned, or you will continue to be charged for its rental. The rental place might initiate a criminal complaint for theft, as well. You should work with your old landlord to get the furniture back to its rightful owner ASAP.
