Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
What does a verified complaint look like? Im trying to file a general denial to a complaint for money but need to make sure the complaint is not verified.

The complaint will either say it is verified at the front of the caption, or there will be a Verification page at the end.
A verified complaint would have a page attached, most likely titled "Verification," and it would be some form of declaration under penalty of perjury, signed by the plaintiff, stating that the contents of the complaint are true and correct except as to matters alleged on information and belief.
Your contract with the creditor probably provides for reimbursement of your attorney fees if you win, so there may be no need for you to attempt to defend yourself. You obviously think you have some reason why you should win the case, unless you consult with your attorney your answer may waive good defenses of yours.
