Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
voluntary auto repo
i did a voluntary repo on my vehicle and i would like toknow if they can come and attach my paycheck. i make 1600.00 a month and my household expense over exceed my income every month. If i end up in court will the judge consider my monthly bills before deciding to attach to my pay. I have 4 children to care for and i am barely making ends meet. do i have a leg to stand on in court? please let me know.

Re: voluntary auto repo
If they sue you and get a judgment, you could file a claim of exemption. The judge would then decide what, if anything, they can garnish from your wages.
