Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

If my wife, (I live in California), gets credit cards in her name and has all the statements secretly mailed to a unknown to me, address, am I liable for her debt. I am going through a divorce.

As between you and the credit card companies, you are probably liable for the debt incurred prior to separation, but you would have a very good case for the Family Law court to order her to pay them herself. If your wife is pulling this kind of thing, you really need to hire a lawyer.
