I won a judgment against an individual. I recorded an abstract of judgment in the county where he owned a house. His house was foreclosed. I never got any money paid on the judgment. If he buys any real estate in the future, does my abstract of judgment lien automatically apply in the future or will I have to record another abstract of judgment after he buys another house? Thanks

It applies to future property acquired. Remember you have to renew judgment before ten years in California, but may do so earlier, anytime the first time, and once no more than every five years thereafter. I recomend renewing the judgment sooner to be able to capture the interest and then you will get interest on the renewed judgment interest.
It applies to anything he acquires, but only in the county in which you recorded it. As long as you have a valid judgement, however, you can record in any and all counties in which you think he might acquire property.
