Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
I won a small claims judgement against a CA corporation, about 2 years ago. I got a writ of execution and managed to get the corporation's bank account levied. The money got to the sheriff last Friday. The CEO of the corporation challenged the levy on 05/16/2011. He is claiming a chapter 13 he filed in 2009. I didn't sue him personally, but his corporation. As of today, it doesn't appear that the corporation is bankrupt. What's next? What do I need to do?
Thanks

Congratulations on winning your case and having the sheriff levy the money. If the corporation didn't file for bankruptcy, probably the court will deny the challenge and you will get a check. From the facts you've given it doesn't sound like you need to do anything.
