Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
So I did work for this broker for 10 years. He got hit hard the last few years..he owes me $7,500 give or take...he now is working under a different mortgage company name..can I still take him to small claims as an individual. I have so many months of emails, promises that he'd pay me..I dont know what to do..

Sue him individually, under the old company and the new company name. A judge will decide who is liable for the debt. It is a low-risk proposition, so there is no reason not to file the suit and let a judge decide.
