Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I work part time & my wife works full time. We have no health insurance & I recently incurred a major bill for emergency medical help that I cannot pay. Can the health providers attach the wages of my wife even though our bank accounts are separate?

They can't attach anything until and unless they sue you both and get judgments against you both. That assumes you either ignore them, and their lawsuit. You should be able to resolve it before it goes to that point. You could also file for bankruptcy protection the threat at least coming from an attorney would make them more reasonable.
