Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I have had a writ of execution and judgement filed against me with a credit card company. I have not paid anything to this company since 2002. How long is the judgement and writ effective?

In California a judgment is good for 10 years and then it can be renewed for another 10. So try to work out a deal or consider filing bankruptcy. Remember at the end of the day they want their money as much as they can get as fast as they can. So try calling them and offering 25% and see where they go. If they are too unreasonable you can file bankruptcy.
