hi i am being sued bu a credit card company and i need to file a written response i went onto the courtinfo.ca.gov website but i cannot find a form that says answer, can you please help me find the right form?

While the form is called Answer - Contract, you should put appropriate affirmative defenses. For example, if the debt was past the statute of limitations, that defense should be added. Please call me if you have any other questions.

Typically, an answer to a complaint must be drafted on pleading paper, not via a court form. You may want to retain legal counsel asap to help you with this, so your rights are not inadvertantly prejudiced with any delays.

If you were sued in small clims, then you can file a general denial. This is the name of the form:
PLD-050* PLD-050* 1/1/2007 General Denial

If you have any claims for wrongful debt collection practices, you'll need to file a cross-complaint at the same time that you file your answer. You should see an attorney soon.
