Re: written response to a summons
It depends. Please search the archives. The short answer is either:
1. A motion to quash;
2. A demurrer
3. An answer
But, it depends on the facts of your case. I have written more about this in response to previous questions and on my blog, http://www.californiadebtblog.com

It depends on the particular facts, you may want to respond with a Motion or demurrer. Or an "Answer" with "affirmative defenses" may be in order.
