Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

1203.4

I am applying for my national radiography licence through the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) and Have a Misdemeanor that was dismissed after filling a 1203.4 form. The ARRT says, ''expunged cases do not have to be reported. However, you should be sure that you have specific court documents attesting to the expungment.'' Do I have to repot this misdemeandor when applying or not? Please help!

Re: 1203.4

1203.4 means that your case was "expunged." This would indicate that you would not need to report it to the ARRT.

To make sure you have the proper paperwork to back this up, contact the court and ask for a certified copy of the 1203.4 dismissal order, unless you have such a document already. Chances are that you do because in most cases expungement orders get mailed to the defendants or their lawyers once granted.
