947 (F) PC Disorder Cond: Intox Alco

I have a court date for public drunkenness. What is the worst that can happen, and what should I do in court.

Report to the bailiff, that's the guy in the uniform. You should ask for a public defender unless of course you want to retain private attorney. If you want a private attorney, you can ask the judge to continue your arraignment till another date. Wait until your case is called. If you get a lawyer, let him do his job.

If you want to retain a private lawyer, the court will grant you additional time and another date in court.
