33 impregnates 17 yr. old
Does a 33 year old go to jail for getting a 17 year old pregnant not knowing she was 17??? he wants to be responsible for the baby and neither her or her parents pressed any charges

If you are the father, stay away from the hospital where the birth takes place, and avoid being named as the father on the baby's birth certificate. Any doctor or nurse will have a duty to inform on you to the authorities if they find out. You must not even tell your own therapist.
Assume the mother will be grilled about the identity of the father if she gives birth at age < 18 3/5.

Yes, you are describing a serious offense called statutory rape. If in trouble, you will need a good criminal defense attorney.

The father can be charged with statutory rape, and there is a very good chance that he will be. The prosecution will not need to prove that the father knew the age of the mother when they had sex, but he can raise the issue as an affirmative defense.
The most important thing for the father to do is get a lawyer ASAP.
