i was trying to find out what i should do in this case, thecharge is 530.5 (a) pc, and my situation is this is my first case ever and im trying to avoid jail time. the thing is i got talked into going and applying for credit in a store with a fake i.d.,after i got caught i cooperated with the police and told them what happened and i have no idea what to do in court my first, day in court was today and i got a public defender and i have to be back in court in a week, i dont know what kind of time i could be facing, and i dont know my options, i have a alchohol problem and i heard i might could go to treatment instead of doing time but thats all the advice ive got, what do i do

The public defender is best able to answer your question. Make an appointment and meet with the public defender as soon as possible.
