Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
508PC/F and 487A violations
My fiance recently was arrested for the two violations and bond was set at $25k. She was the bookeeper for this company back in 06' and the owner of this company gave her cash as bonuses. The owner also gave her $$$ to pay her debts. It looks to me that there's some unlawful transactions going on. The relationship between my fiance and the owner of the co. turned sour. She does not recall how much $$$ was given to her. Is the amount of bond set relative to the amount that she might have been given to her? Please advise! We are looking for a good experience lawyer in this type of crime.

Re: 508PC/F and 487A violations
The amount of bail has some relationship to the amount of dollars involved. However, there are other factors that also are considered in setting bail. As to the actual charges you will get more information after the arraignment. The major effort should now be directed toward finding an attorney to represent her. You may also want to consider setting aside money to hire expert witnesses.
